An unique program and incredible journey through Turkey exploring the archaeology, history, culture, and natural beauty of the region. Experience firsthand twelve thousand years of history – from the heights of Mount Nemrut to the depths of the underground cities of Cappadocia, and historic Istanbul with the 'grand finale' in Gobekli tepe, the oldest outdoor place of worship created man hand.
Program:
- DAY 1 - Arrival to Istanbul
Arrival to Turkey, Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Transfer to hotel in city center. Overnight
- DAY 2 - Istanbul – The old city
After breakfast visiting Istanbul: Sultanahmet district – ottoman ruins, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, Hagia Sophia Museum. Lunch. Visiting Yerebatan Sarnici (Basilica Cistern), Hippodrome. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul
- DAY 3 - Troy & Canakkale
After breakfast check-out of the hotel and drive to Troy via the European part of Turkey “Thrace”. Crossing the Dardanelles to the Asian side of Turkey by the ferryboat - Canakkale. After that visiting Troy, with a replica of the Trojan Horse. Dinner and overnight.
- DAY 4 – Bergama & Ephesus
After breakfast check-out of the hotel. Drive to Bergama. Visiting the Acropolis in Bergama. Lunch in Bergama than going to Ephesus and after visiting antique city on the way to hotel we will see Artemis temple in Selcuk. Dinner and overnight hotel in Kusadasi. This day also optional stop to see some handcrafts very famous in Turkey – leather and carpet shops (shopping is possible).
- DAY 5 Pamukkale
After breakfast check out of the hotel and driving to Pamukkale. Lunch on the way. Pamukkale – visiting travertines and Hierapolis antique city, some free time. Dinner and overnight in thermal hotel in Pamukkale.
- DAY 6
After breakfast check-out of the hotel, visiting Laodycea antique city and drive to Antalya via the Taurus Mountains. Lunch on the way to Antalya.. Visiting Aspendos antique theatre. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.
- DAY 7
Free time in Antalya region; optionally boat tour
- DAY 8
After breakfast checking-out of the hotel and visiting Mevlana Museum in Konya, than visiting Catalhoyuk ruins. Lunch on the way. After that driving to Cappadocia, on the way stop for visiting Sultanhan Kervansaray. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia
- DAY 9 - Cappadocia
After breakfast leaving hotel and visiting archeological site Asikli Hoyuk. Lunch. Going to Cappadocia – on the way visit in one of the biggest underground cities – Derinkuyu. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia hotel.
- DAY 10 - Cappadocia
After breakfast all day Cappadocia see sighting: Open Air Museum Goreme, Uchisar Castle. Lunch near pigeon valley. Visiting Avanos where the pottery even from time of Hittites is made. Pasabaglari valley. Visiting Urgup, known for its famous hotels built right within caves, for its wines and for its hand made carpets. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
- DAY 11 - Nemrut Mount
After breakfast check-out of the hotel and drive to Kahta. Lunch and a break near Kahramanmaras On the way stop on the biggest dam in Turkey on Euphrates. Sunset on Nemrut Mount National Park and check in and dinner in hotel in Adiyaman.
- DAY 12 - GÖBEKLİ TEPE & Urfa
After breakfast visiting Harran village near Urfa. Lunch. After that drive to Gobekli Tepe. All the afternoon and evening there, entering to an excavacation area. Dinner and overnight in Urfa.
- DAY 13 – Urfa - Istanbul
After breakfast we will check-out of the hotel. Visiting Urfa city center: Pools of Abraham, Balikli Gol, Cave of Abraham and Urfa Archeology Museum. Lunch. After that transfer to the airport. Flying to Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul hotel.
- DAY 14 - Leaving Istanbul
After breakfast check-out of the hotel. Transfer to the airport.
